Fighting cancer with Reiki treatment

Reiki is a non invasive technique that causes no side effects or complications so, it can be performed on cancer patients at anytime following the diagnosis. Reiki involves “ channelling healing energy to the body” .Reiki is reported to increase patient’s levels of comfort and enhance healing however, it should not be treated as main tool fighting with cancer but, supporting tool to heal better and faster.

With cancer patients, Reiki is greatly used to bring healing into the often rigorous schedule regarding chemotherapy, seeking relief from symptoms such as pain, anxiety, depression. Reiki will improve quality of life, reduce feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, it might slow disease progression, improve immune system, improve overall health and quality of sleep.

Like other spiritual practises Reiki helps people reconnect to themselves spiritually and look deeper into their spiritual needs balancing body mind and soul.

The goal of Reiki treatments is to clear blocked energy pathways caused by stressed and illness . Reiki has got a great impact on patients emotional health, balancing chakras, improving energy flow, balancing aura and energy field of a patient and improving natural process of healing. Our body has got natural ability to heal, Reiki is used as a tool to improve this progress and make it more beneficial.

So what goes on during a typical Reiki session?

A Reiki practitioner will put hands on a patient in different positions promoting healing and flow of energy into patient’s body. Each position takes up to 5 minutes or more depending on needs of healing. The whole session lasts up to an hour. The whole session does not hurt, there are no side effects from Reiki however, because of fast flow of energy into patients body some patients may feel heat, cold, pins and needles, tingling or pulsing in different parts of their body. Everyone accepts energy differently and will feel energy differently.

For some patients 3 sessions of Reiki can be enough, for some patients more sessions are required.
